BILLINGS – MontanaFair features plenty of good acts, including some of the smaller shows.

Mango & Dango perform near the 4th Avenue Stage.

The pair from San Diego bring athleticism and comedy to the fair.

“Our act is an incredibly physical act,” said Derrick Gilday, known as Dango. “As you can see, we’re drenched in sweat right now, but luckily the audience is the one that gives us the energy to keep us going. How do you feel Mango. Do you feel tired during the show?”

“I definitely feel tired during the show,” said Megan Fontaine, known as Mango. “It’s difficult. It’s physically challenging. We keep in shape and training all year so we can keep doing what we do.”

For Mango & Dango, the audience is part of the show.

“The most fun thing is just to pay attention to the audience and the moment and not hesitate when one of those moments presents themselves and play with that moment,” Fontaine said.

“It depends on the audience,” Gilday said. “Like the guy’s wearing the NRA hat and I like oh what’s up with the NRA hat. You want to be in the moment, improvisation, play with people. And I also test myself. You know sometimes I get my foot in my mouth. Shouldn’t have said that.”

“The biggest thing we want people to remember is that kindness is contagious and don’t take yourself too seriously,” Gilday said.

“Have fun, play, enjoy life,” said Fontaine.

Mango & Dango perform two shows a day, at 5:45 pm and 7:30 pm during MontanaFair.
