A tradition that goes back to beginnings of the fair, remains part of MontanaFair.

The Heritage Arts Building features culinary, horticulture, needlework and crafts.

Local residents showing their best work has been part of the fair since it started in 1916 as the Midland Empire Fair,

The top prize winners in several categories are on display.

“I think it’s bragging rights,” said Monique Cunningham, Heritage Arts Building Superintendent. “You put in this work, you put all of this effort into it and somebody gets to tell you that yes, it was good work. And so being able to see that someone sees how much hard work you’ve put into something is always exciting for a lot of people.”

The work had to be completed in the last year and will be on display at the Montana Pavilion during the fair.
