BILLINGS – A man was assaulted in the Hardee’s drive-thru in downtown Billings on Wednesday night and taken to a local hospital, according to Billings police.

The call came in about 8:45 p.m. at the Hardee’s restaurant at 608 N. 27th St, which was later surrounded by police cars.

Detective Brian Krivitz said the man appeared to have a stab wound to his upper body, but he was uncertain of the extent of the injuries.

He added in a news release that several witnesses were at the scene. A person of interest was in custody and being questioned.

The Hardee’s drive-thru was temporarily closed while police processed the crime scene and conducted interviews, Krivitz said.
