BILLINGS- A Billings bar and grill is temporarily shutting down and changing its name in hopes of changing its reputation.

Bones Arcade closed its doors to the public on Thursday to revamp its brand and products.

You will see new signs, a new menu, and according to staff, a new vibe. The plan is to reopen in just a few days as The Plaza Arcade Bar under the same ownership.

“Different food, different environment, different establishment, just different all around and a lot more fun and exciting,” said General Manager Dallas Sluder.

Sluder said a large part for the change and the rebrand is to try and combat an old reputation.

Bones Arcade has been in the spotlight before in Billings for crime-related calls to police. Back in May, a man was charged for an alleged shooting inside the establishment. Earlier that same month, a man was arrested after allegedly retrieving a rifle from his vehicle. In turn, a Bones Arcade bar security officer was forced to hold down that suspect until police officers arrived.

“I know there were some issues and they’ve had some problems in the past with some unfortunate events and that’s what we are trying to erase,” said Sluder. “We want to really show the community that we’re changing.”

Bones Arcade will reopen as The Plaza Arcade Bar on Monday at 3 p.m. There will also be a brand new menu.
