BILLINGS- Tysen is a soft-spoken, 16-year-old from Laurel who likes sports, video games, and he has a refined taste in retro Jordan brand sneakers.

Tysen is also battling Ewing’s Sarcoma, an extremely rare form of cancer that affects the bones of young people, most often males between the ages of 10-20.

On Friday, he had his wish of a back to school shopping spree granted by Montana Make-a-Wish.

Sponsored by Leavitt Great West Insurance, Tysen got to stock up at Gamestop, Best Buy and Scheels.

He had been spending time in Salt Lake City for treatment and what he wanted was to go back to school feeling great about himself.

That meant new clothes, new electronics and of course, the ever important sneakers.

Tysen said this day was so important because it was a day to get away from everything in his daily life and dive into the things he enjoys most.

Best of luck heading back to school, Tysen.
