BILLINGS- Travel Bloggers Exchange will hold its annual 2019 conference in Billings, bringing 650 travel writers, journalists and influencers to the area, the Billings Chamber of Commerce announced Tuesday.

The conference will be held Sept. 11-13, and it’s the industry’s largest conference and networking event for travel bloggers, online travel journalists, new media content creators and industry professionals, according to the group.

“It was an easy decision to bring TBEX to Billings,” said Rick Calvert, CEO of the group known as TBEX.  “Montana is a bucket list destination for people all over the world. Billings has everything people think of when they dream of visiting Montana. Incredible scenery, history, culture, any outdoor activity you could imagine, and a historic western downtown.”

Visit Billings, the chamber’s tourism arm, and Visit Southeast Montana were key partners in attracting the conference, according to a chamber news release. The announcement was made at the chamber’s annual luncheon Tuesday at the Billings Hotel.

Visit Billings say the exposure from having so many travel writers in town is worth millions. Billings is the first city in Montana to host such a conference.
