BILLINGS – One of ZooMontana’s most unique residents has passed away.
JT the Takin died from heart failure.
Jeff Ewelt, ZooMontana’s executive director, shared the news and a photo of JT on his Facebook page Tuesday.
Ewelt described JT as one of the gentlest, most easy going animals he has ever known.
The zoo opened its Takin exhibit in 2016 where JT lived with a younger Takin, Khan.
ZooMontana said on itsFacebook page that JT arrived at the zoo to live out his late years, but they wish it could have been for a bit longer.
