BILLINGS – The Yellowstone County Corner’s Office has released the name of the construction worker killed in Billings.

The man was identified as 52-year-old Jeffrey Dykeman.

Dykeman was killed Wednesday when a pickup truck slammed into a road construction project on Interstate 90 near the South Billings Boulevard interchange.

Dykeman worked for the Montana Department of Transportation for 28 years, according to a Facebook post by the agency.

“He was always energized at work, and his energy was contagious. He wanted things done right and there was no excuse for not doing your best. He raised those around him to a high level. He was a problem solver, a great boss, and a good friend,” the agency wrote in the post.
