BILLINGS – The Billings Police Department received a call around 6 p.m. Tuesday that a car hit a pedestrian on North 27th Street in front of the Burger King in downtown Billings.

Billings Police Lt. Brian Krivitz said multiple witnesses saw an adult male was trying to cross the road from east to west, where there is no designated crosswalk.

Witnesses told Krivitz the man seemed to be moving slowly in and out of traffic.

A vehicle traveling southbound hit the pedestrian.

He was transported to a local hospital and was awake and alert when en route.

Police say the driver was obeying traffic laws and the Pedestrian will most likely be sited.

The pedestrian appeared to be drinking, Krivitz said.
