Beginning Friday, November 23 the Red Lodge Mountain Ski area will be open for the 2018/19 season.

Five lifts will be open, leading mountain-goers to 44 runs with all mountain accessibility.

“We’re thrilled to be able to offer our season pass holders and guests top-to-bottom skiing to start the season,” said Jeff Schmidt, Red Lodge Mountain’s general manager in a press release.

Temperatures were favorable in the fall for snow-making and there has already been good snowfall this season.

In the last week, the mountain has seen an additional 14 inches of snow, for a base of 20 inches.

Passes for opening day will be normally priced, $67 at the hill, but for those willing to make the commitment early passes can be purchased online in advance at a discounted rate at the Red Lodge Mountain website.

This year’s opening comes at the same point in the year as 2017’s opening weekend, which took place on November 24 and also offered top to bottom accessibility to skiers and snowboarders.
