North Dakota family declared missing during trip through Montana

A North Dakota family of four is missing tonight after never reaching its destination in Montana this Thanksgiving.

The Dean family, a mother, father and two children were traveling back from Caldwell, Idaho to Ekalaka, Mont.

They were last heard from Thursday morning – around 6:30 in Billings, saying they would reach its destination around 11 a.m., but they never arrived.

Chelsi Dean is a member of the Manvel, N.D., Volunteer Fire Department.

She is traveling with her husband, Anthony, and their two children.

They are driving a black SUV, towing an old car.

The Carter County Sheriff’s office confirms a missing persons case has been opened for the family.
