BILLINGS- Deals were everywhere this Black Friday, but Rimrock Mall offered something new to look forward to this year: Best Friend Friday.
Those who presented a receipt totaling $200 or more were given access to the Yellowstone Valley Women’s Magazine Lounge.
That’s where they were given free massages, as well as treats from Fork and Fuel, Mountain Mudd, and Krispy Kreme.
“The old way of kicking down the doors and barging in and trampling each other, we’re trying to get away from that.,” said Daron Olson, Rimrock Mall’s marketing director. “Obviously, and to make it a more fun-spirited event, and so this is one way of trying to make it a more pleasant experience for the shopper. Not a wham, bam, thank-you ma’am. Take a nice slow pace to it and get a massage while you’re at it.”
A special holiday edition of the YVW Magazine was given out to mall shoppers, with some select magazines containing prizes and shopping sprees.
More than 100 million Americans went shopping on Black Friday, the traditional start of the holiday shopping season.
