CODY, Wyo.- A Thursday morning rockslide damaged a guardrail on U.S. Highway 14/16/20, also known as North Fork Highway, west of Cody.
The westbound lane of the road was blocked until 12:30 p.m.
Wyoming Department of Transportation workers used tiny explosives called “boulder busters” to break up the large rocks into smaller pieces for the equipment to move, according to Cody Beer, an agency spokesman.
The rockfall was a result of natural causes, and no one was injured, Beer said.
