COLUMBUS- A new app offers Stillwater County residents and visitors to the area free emergency, missing person and community alerts.
If a person has downloaded the app and has the location services enabled, they’ll then receive the alerts.
This new app is connected to Stillwater County’s “Code RED” system, which is already in place.
That Code Red system is used nationwide, so if someone with the app travels to another area with its own Code Red system, they’ll be notified of any significant event in their current location.
