RED LODGE- A Roberts man was arrested Tuesday after he crashed a pickup truck into the Carbon County Courthouse Building.
Tyge Devries was charged with felony criminal endangerment and taken to the Yellowstone County Detention Facility, according to Carbon County Sheriff Josh McQuillan.
The crash, which was caught on video at 102 Broadway Ave. N., took place just after noon in the building that houses Justice Court, District Court, the county attorney and sheriff’s offices, according to McQuillan.
The vehicle “hit the building with great force, causing damage,” McQuillan said.
No one was injured.
In a statement to Q2 News, McQuillan said the police believe the man was deliberately targeting county offices. The sheriff’s office is investigating.
