BILLINGS – St. Vincent Healthcare earned some top marks from a national online care company.
In a recent survey, HealthGrades lists St. Vincent as one of the top 250 hospitals in the country.
Healthgrades said it analyzes more than 4,500 hospitals and looks only at clinical outcomes.
St. Vincent was also awarded the classification of being one of America’s 100 best hospitals for spine surgeries, as well as one of the top 100 for overall critical care.
“Not only can you receive just about every service right here,” said Steve Loveless, the CEO of St. Vincent Healthcare. “The quality of that care is among the very best in the nation, so I think that the community should feel very good about the quality of care that is received here at St. Vincent and in the Billings community.”
The hospital also received nine 5-star awards, which are awarded when a hospital experiences fewer mortalities or complications than expected.
St. Vincent received those recognitions in treatment of heart failure, total knee replacement, treatment of pneumonia and three awards for their gastrointestinal department.
