BILLINGS – A gas leak closed a portion of Alkali Creek Road in the Billings Heights early Friday.
Alkali Creek Road was closed between Morningside Lane and Indian Trail.
Northwestern Energy was investigating the gas leak.
According to a tweet by the Billings Police Department, the road was closed at 1:30 a.m. Friday.
The police department is asking drivers to avoid the area.
