BILLINGS- Responders rescued a young male who fell through a crack in the Rims Monday night.
The call came just after 5 p.m. Firefighters said the boy fell about five feet into a crevice while walking with his mother.
He was rescued just before 6 p.m., according to Battalion Chief Kevin Johnson. He suffered non life-threatening injuries, he said.
Billings Fire sent a firefighter down on a tether line for the rescue, Johnson said. The boy was steered toward another firefighter and pulled up, he said.
“On a day like this, it’s really important to go steady and slow,” Johnson said.
Billings police and the AMR ambulance also responded.
This is a developing story.
