Billings 9-1-1 Center reports Verizon issue resolved

Billings Fire Chief Bill Rash reports the Billings 9-1-1 Center has not received any Verizon customers stating they were unable to connect to the 9-1-1 center since 4:43 am Wednesday.

Verizon has notified the 9-1-1 Center that the connectivity issue has been resolved.  Problems developed Tuesday afternoon and Verizon worked to resolve the connectivity issues overnight.

According to Rash, 9-1-1 Center staff worked diligently to find alternatives for Verizon wireless customers to report emergency incidents.
