A 31-year-old man from Worland, Wyo. was identified Tuesday as the victim of a fatal crash.

Carbon County Sheriff Josh McQuillan identified the man as Shane Bower.

Bower died Monday at the scene of a one-vehicle rollover crash on Highway 310 near mile marker 3.5. He was the only occupant of the vehicle.

Bower was traveling north on 310 when he swerved off across the road twice before flipping the truck off the right side of the road and rolling multiple times, according to Trooper Andrew Barbera.

Bower was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected, Barbera said. The vehicle landed about 150 to 200 yards from the road with only three wheels, he said.

Barbera added that the truck had “livable space,” and Bower could have survived with a seat belt.

Speed was a factor. Troopers said they don’t know if alcohol or drugs were involved.
