Woman injured in Billings duplex fire

BILLINGS – One woman was taken to the hospital after a fire broke out at a West End duplex Wednesday afternoon.

A female occupant was taken by ambulance to a Billings hospital after a fire started inside the residence 2215 Golden Blvd.

The battalion chief on scene told MTN News her injuries were non-life-threatening.

Billings firefighters were called to the structure shortly before 1 p.m. Wednesday.

The fire was quickly doused, but an extra engine company was called to help search the duplex and the adjoining apartment at 2211 Golden Blvd. No other victims were found or needed medical assistance.

The Billings fire marshal will be investigating the cause of the fire.
