One woman seriously injured after rolling stolen vehicle on Highway 87

UPDATE – Montana Highway Patrol Trooper Joshua French confirmed first responders on scene requested to send the help flight helicopter. The helicopter could not take off due to rain showers moving through the area at the time of the crash.

According to Trooper French, the 28-year-old woman was not wearing a seat belt.


YELLOWSTONE COUNTY – A 28-year-old female driver is in the hospital with life-threatening injuries after rolling a red Cadillac Escalade between mile marker 21 and 22 on Highway 87 Sunday afternoon.

According to Montana Highway Patrol Trooper Joshua French, the vehicle was reported stolen earlier in the day.

The female was ejected from the vehicle and rushed to a Billings hospital by ambulance.

The accident happened shortly before 3:30 p.m.
