BILLINGS – A massive steel skybridge was hoisted into place in downtown Billings Tuesday morning.
The over 90-foot skybridge will connect the Stillwater Building and a new parking garage currently under construction.
Construction crews erected two support beams before securing the nearly 22-ton bridge to a crane and lifting it into place.
Once in the air, it only took crews about 30 minutes to secure the bridge in place. There is still a 4-foot gap between the bridge and where it will connect to the Stillwater Building, which will be filled with tenants soon.
