Billings crews tackle house fire

UPDATE:

Battalion Chief Jason Lyon said the fire was called in by the homeowner who was in the house shortly before 11 a.m.

The female homeowner was not injured.

Lyon said firefighters found items burning in the house and quickly put out the fire.

The cause is unknown and the Fire Marshal has been called to investigate.

BILLINGS – Billings Fire responded to a house fire at 537 Alderson Avenue at about 11 a.m. Wednesday.

Firefighters were seen running a hose line in through the front door.

Light smoke was venting out of the attic and front door.

Alderson was closed between 5th Street West and 6th Street West.
