BILLINGS – If you’re looking for that perfect Mother’s Day gift, you still have time to sign up for the Montana Women’s Run and spend Saturday morning with your mom, grandmother, sister, daughter, or friends.
All that while supporting women’s health and fitness across the Billings community.
There’s still time to sign up and get a great Women’s Run t-shirt.
“The weather is going to be awesome. No rain, knock on wood. We’ve been doing that all day,” says Pam Harder, registration coordinator.
Harder says it’s also not too late for men to register and support the women in their lives.
“We are the Montana Women’s Run, and we support women’s health and fitness. You know we like men to register (too). Most of the men that register for our race our supporting their wives or a loved one or in memory of someone who has participated that no longer can,” Harder said.
Between 200 and 300 men sign up each year for the event, but men do not compete for final results.
Register for Saturday’s event online at womensrun.org until 2 p.m. Friday, or just go straight to race headquarters, sign up, and get your race number and t-shirt.
Headquarters is open Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 213 N. 29th St.
The five-mile begins at 8 a.m. and the two-mile starts an hour later at 9 a.m.
The guys of Q2 will be outside the Q2 Studios cheering on the participants as they head down Third Avenue North.
After the event, join the ladies of Q2 at the finish line as they hand out race awards, prizes and $100 bills.
