BILLINGS- The Billings Times has put down a lot of ink in its 128-year history, but this is a first—printing campaign letterhead, fundraising envelopes, and rally signs for a presidential candidate from the state of Montana.

The company was awarded the contract to do printing for Gov. Steve Bullock’s presidential run, announced Tuesday, but had to keep it a secret.

“We received an e-mail from the campaign about two weeks ago asking if we were interested in doing some work, but they wouldn’t say what it was for, but we suspected that was probably it,” said Scott Turner, co-owner of the Billings Times.

Employees at the Billings Times had to sign non-disclosure agreements to keep the governor’s run for president a secret until it was officially announced.

“It’s a huge honor. We have done work for Gov. Bullock in both of his campaigns and for them to come to us right off the bat when he was announcing for president for us to do work for him is a tremendous honor. We are very proud,” said Turner.
