Two dead in crash that shuts down Highway 312 in Huntley

Update 10:48 p.m. Two men died Wednesday night in a two-vehicle accident on Highway 312 in Huntley.

Montana Highway Patrol Trooper Barry Mitchell said the men were 19 and 21 years old and from the Huntley-Worden area, but he did not identify them Wednesday night.

The accident happened before 6:30 p.m. near the intersection of Jute Street. A blue Dodge pickup and a white Dodge pickup appeared to collide head-on, and both died on the scene, Mitchell said.

Troopers are unsure exactly what happened and will continue their investigation Thursday morning, he said.


Update 7:28 p.m. The drivers of both vehicles died in what appears to be a head-on collision, according to Montana Highway Patrol Trooper Barry Mitchell.

Both were local males, Mitchell said, but no ages were given.


HUNTLEY- A fatal crash is blocking Highway 312 in both directions in Huntley Wednesday evening.

The accident is east of Jute Street and was reported around 6:30 p.m.

Ambulance, firefighters and police are at the scene

The crash involves at least two vehicles.
