ABSAROKEE –  As it prepares to reopen in its new location, the lending library in Absarokee has been burglarized.

The library was broken into Monday night and numerous unidentified items were stolen.

In a Facebook post, the library says the items were things that provided access to services for those who cannot afford them.

One of the library’s co-founders, Monica Anderson, says she can’t release specifics about the items due to the nature of the investigation.

However, she just asks that whoever took the items to return them so that the library can continue to serve the community of Absarokee.

The library is still in the process of setting up in its new location due to popular demand in the community, so if you’d like to help, you can reach the library at absarokeelibrary@gmail.com or by calling 406-298-0246.
