BILLINGS — 406 Pride will join local sponsors to celebrate the LGBTQ+ Pride Parade in Billings on Saturday.
The celebration commemorates 50 years since the Stonewall riots, which occurred at the New York City gay bar on June 28, 1969. The riots were a catalyst in the movement toward gay rights.
The location has since been designated to the National Register of Historic Places. It is also named as a city landmark, and in 2016, President Obama announced the establishment of the Stonewall National Monument.
The Saturday events will kick off at 10 a.m. at Bin 119 at 119 N. Broadway with a brunch hosted by the South East Montana Prime Timers. Brunch will be available from 10 a.m. until 2 pm..
At 2 p.m., the parade will begin at Second Avenue North and North 29th Street and move east to North Park where a day of events is planned.
The Pride Festival kicks off in the park at 2:30 p.m. with the following line-up of music and events:

- 3:30 p.m. Drag Story Hour sponsored by This House of Books
- 4:00 p.m. Maddie Alpert
- 4:30 p.m. AlternaCirque
- 5:00 p.m. Who We Are
- 5:30 p.m. Danielle Egnew
- 6:00 p.m. Country Music Artist Chely Wright
- 7:00 p.m. Drag Show featuring Jaymes Mansfield
The park activities will wrap up at 8:30 p.m..
A shuttle will be available to transport people from the Pride Festival at North Park to the 406 Pride Dance Party at the Red Lion Grand Ballroom starting at 8:30 p.m. until 9:30 p.m..
It will then be available again from 9:30 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. to transport people between the 406 Pride Dance Party at Red Lion and the LOFT Dance club.
