BILLINGS — Ace Hardware is moving into the shuttered Evergreen IGA building on Billings West End.
The move of the hardware store has been rumored since Evergreen closed in June. A building permit to remodel the space at 1540 13th St. W. into Evergreen Ace Hardware was approved by the city on Sept. 16.
The owner of the building is listed as Windmill Properties of Helena. Ace will spend $20,000 to renovate the 34,000-square-foot building, which is limited to counter space and wall repairs, according to the permit.
Ace Hardware currently has four Billings stores and one each in Lockwood and Laurel.
