BILLINGS — Freezing weather created extremely dangerous driving conditions across the state of Montana Saturday.
Emergency personnel and law enforcement officers were kept very busy all day as they answered calls around the state.
Near Billings, an accident on Interstate 90 between Hardin and Billings caused lane blockages and slow moving traffic for several hours.
Semi trucks were lined up along the shoulder as drivers scrambled to put chains on their tires.
In town, police responded to slide offs and crashes throughout the day.
Earlier in the afternoon the Billings Police Department issued a slick roads advisory.
Residents are urged to travel the roads only when necessary, and if you have to be out, please drive with extreme caution and take your time.
