BILLINGS — Firefighters and and other first responders put themselves in the line of danger on a regular basis.
If they're heading into a fire, or responding to a scene, they're ready to rise to the challenge.
And that also means... taking on devastating problems like cancer.
Eight Billings firefighters are doing just that by completing the Leukemia Lymphoma Society's Firefighter Stair Climb in March.
At 8 p.m. Friday at Uber Brew in downtown Billings, the crew answered questions about the event and accept donations for the cause.
Only 2,000 people are permitted to do the climb, and this year the event had so much interest, it sold out in 12 minutes. People from around the world travel to participate in the event.
Each floor has a poster of someone affected by cancer, motivates them to keep going.
