Update 5 p.m. Authorities released more information on the murder of Lenita Goes Ahead.

U.S. Attorney Kurt Alme said in a news release that Goes Ahead was driving from Pryor to Billings on Blue Creek Road Saturday with a man and a child when she was passed by her ex-boyfriend, Taylor Plainbull 27, who was driving in the opposite direction.

Plainbull was driving a stolen truck, which contained weapons and ammo, according to Alme.

Plainbull turned around and followed Goes Ahead's vehicle, eventually forcing her off the road into a ditch, according to Alme. She was unable to get out of the ditch, so she locked the doors while her passenger called 911 as Plainbull approached with a gun, he told police.

The man said he heard gunshots, and he was injured in his forehead. Goes Ahead was shot at least once, according to Alme.

Plainbull reached the vehicle, took the child and left in his truck. The child was later found, according to Alme.
