The city of Billings public works director has retired after almost 20 years.
On Monday, Dave Mumford announced at a City Council work session on Zoom that he retired last Friday.
Mumford thanked Mayor Bill Cole, the City Council and the city administrator.
He said the job was a great challenge and with the public works staff, he leaves the department in a better place.
Mumford said he and his family will stay in Billings.
