BILLINGS - Police said a woman was shot early Wednesday, the fourth shooting incident in the past week.
Police said the most recent shooting happened in the area of 924 S. 29th St. and was reported at about 4:30 a.m.
A 27-year-old woman was injured in the shooting and taken to a Billings hospital for treatment of a non-life threatening injury, police said in a Twitter post.
Police said there is no threat to the public and the investigation was continuing. No other information was released.

Last Friday, a Billings man was found dead of a gunshot wound following a two-vehicle crash. Police said it appeared to be a self-inflicted wound, but it was unclear if the man was shot before or after the accident.
On Saturday night a woman was found suffering from a gunshot wound in the area of 7th Avenue South and South 27th Street.
On Monday morning a 17-year-old teenage boy was shot twice at a house on North 25th Street.
Police have not released the names of those injured in the recent spate of gunfire or announced any arrests.
