BILLINGS — The fast-food chain Chick-fil-A is headed to the Billings West End after a developer filed a request for zoning clarification to construct a restaurant in the Planet Fitness parking lot on the corner of 24th Street West and Marketplace Street.

Midvale, Utah-based TFC Rosebud, LLC filed the request on Dec. 1, 2020 and the plan for the restaurant was deemed to fall within the bounds of zoning law on Dec. 12, 2020, according to the documents provided by the city Planning and Community Services Department.

The plans describe a Chick-fil-A restaurant that would be on a 1.4-acre property and have multiple drive-thru lanes, a pylon or monument sign, children's play facility and outdoor seating.

There is no timeline yet on when construction may start on the restaurant. Q2 has reached out to the franchise's corporate office for confirmation on the new restaurant, but have not heard back on Tuesday.

The only other Chick-fil-A restaurant in Montana is located in Kalispell.
