BILLINGS — An asphalt milling and paving project at Johnson Lane and North Frontage Road in Lockwood will cause traffic delays this week.

The Montana Department of Transportation said work will occur from 6 p.m. to about 6 a.m. Wednesday through Friday. The area will be open during daylight, and the project is weather dependent.

Road officials say to expect long delays and congestion, and they advise using North Frontage Road to access Interstate 90 at the Lockwood Interchange.

Motorists are reminded to watch for work crews and equipment as well as signs indicating reduced speed limits. Posted limits are enforced until signs indicate that the work zone has ended. Fines double in work zones when workers are present. Find additional information on Work Zone Safety at www.mdt.mt.gov/visionzero/people/workzones.shtml [mdt.mt.gov].
