Distracted driving causes car to flip in Billings neighborhood Tuesday

BILLINGS — While driving distracted, a young woman hit a parked pickup truck and flipped her car on its side on 22nd Street West between Yellowstone Avenue and Clark Avenue in Billings shortly before 8 p.m. Tuesday, according to Billings police.

The driver was traveling southbound on 22nd Street West in a red, 4-door Dodge when ,according to Billings Police Sgt. Clyde Reid, the driver became distracted.

A young-adult female driver flipped her car in Billings Tuesday after becoming distracted behind the wheel, according to Billings Police.

The right-front tire of the driver's red 4-door Dodge collided with the left-rear tire of an unoccupied pickup parked on the west curb of 22nd Street West.

The force of the impact caused the car to flip and come to rest on its left side.

The young woman was the only person in the Dodge and was uninjured.

It wasn't immediately clear if she will be cited.
