BILLINGS — Downtown Billings's First Friday of 2020 has kicked off.
First Fridays take place the first week of each month and are intended to highlight downtown Billings.
Each Friday features different themes. This Friday's theme is "Fire & Ice" with hot chocolate being offered.
Businesses remain open for extended hours, and local musical artists are highlighted at participating venues.
First Fridays offer family-friendly activities and discounted and specialty food items at restaurants.
"There's stuff happening, and it's not even just happening the first Friday of the month. It's happening every day of the month. We wanted to highlight at least one day of the month. And there are retails, there are entertainment hot spots and restaurants all over. There's also family fun activities popping up, and that's been really good, I think, for Billings," Downtown Billings Alliance Events Director Lindsay Richardson said.
