BILLINGS — The Breakfast Flakes celebrated their 30th year of giving away Thanksgiving dinners.
Paul Mushaben and Mark Wilson along with numerous volunteers gave out 1,500 dinners.
Mushaben and Wilson are the Breakfast Flakes on KCTR, Cat Country.
About 1,000 were passed out at the MetraPark fairgrounds and volunteers delivered 500 more.
Children from all over the area were among the 90 people who came out to help.
"I think our society does a good job with that now,” Wilson said. “We're teaching the kids to treat people better and more about charity and giving your time and helping out where you can. This is a good event for that. people that depend on it. We see a lot of the people year in and year out that need the meal so it's good to do that. and also it's great because it's different from all the other stuff out there. you don't need to prove that you're having a hard time or it's a tough financial situation. if you need a meal, you just come and get a meal."
Volunteers also came out Friday to pack the boxes of food.
