BILLINGS - An effort to ensure veterans have access to healthy food is in its fourth year.
The R.O.A.D.R.A.S.H. MC Veteran's Poker Run kicked off at the 2ND Shift Bar Sunday.
Participants are given a card at each stop of the run, and at the end, see who has the best hand.
Each stop also features a side game.
The 4th Annual Veterans Poker Run kicked off with registration at the 2nd Shift.
"We don't do monetary prizes, except for the fifty fifty, but people do usually donate that to the cause," Thomas Maerlinge of R.O.A.D.R.A.S.H. Motorcycle Club said.
All proceeds go to the Veteran's Meat Locker.
"We've been working with them for three years," Thomas Maerlinge.
The Veterans Meat Locker of Montana provides veterans with professionally processed meat--donated by hunters.
They aim to ensure each veteran and their family has enough to eat, regardless of branch
or record.
"We care about our community, and anybody that needs help," Maerlinge said.
