BILLINGS - Billings and Blue Creek firefighters were battling a brush fire south of Hillcrest Road on Tuesday.
The fire was burning in grass and brush in a field directly south of the Billings landfill.
Firefighters were dealing with heavy winds and blowing trash from the dump. It appeared that embers from burning trash at the landfill blew over Hillcrest Road and started the brush fire.
