BILLINGS — The boulders that litter the street of Laredo Place in Billings had holes drilled in them Wednesday as part of the process break up and haul them away.
Billings city engineers said crews with Apex Rock Fall Mitigation drilled holes in some boulders to fill them with expanding grout.
Over the next three days, the grout will expand to break the large boulders into more manageable pieces.
City staff are asking the public to stay away from Laredo Place for their safety. The boulders could break apart at any time.
