BILLINGS — The pilot of a PA-31 Piper twin-engine airplane who was killed in a Monday crash west of Billings has been identified as Lloyd Gerber, 64, from Billings, Yellowstone County Sheriff Mike Linder said in an email Wednesday.

Linder said investigators were finishing up at the scene Wednesday morning and cleanup has now begun.

Around 10 a.m. Monday, the plane crashed on Billings Rod and Gun Club property in the archery area. Several club members were in the area at the time of the crash but were uninjured.
