BILLINGS — Authorities have identified the man who was killed in a fiery crash west of Billings on Aug. 8.

Cleve Riggins, 54, of Billings died as a result of major blunt force trauma after he crashed into a concrete support structure of a railroad overpass west of Billings, according to Yellowstone County Coroner Cliff Mahoney.

The crash resulted in a fire which engulfed the car and caused damage to the tracks.

Mahoney said that DNA was used to identify Riggins.
