Montana State University Billings has announced its finalist for the new chancellor position.

According to the search committee, Stefani Hicswa, the current president of Northwestern College in Powell, Wyoming, will be filling the position of chancellor.

Hicswa holds a PH.D. in educational administration from the University of Texas at Austin. She has been serving as Northwestern president since 2013. Prior to Northwestern, Hicswa served as president of Miles City College.

The university made the announcement three months after former Chancellor Dan Edelman resigned from the position for health reasons and Interim Chancellor Rolf Groseth was appointed the position.
