On Saturday afternoon, the Park County Sheriff's Office received a report of a fire on the North Fork Highway, about 30 miles west of Cody, the Park County Sheriff's Office said in a Facebook post.
At the time, the North Fork Highway was closed to both directions of travel to all but emergency traffic. The Bill Cody Ranch was evacuated and the Rimrock Ranch was notified of the situation.
An update provided later on Saturday stated that both lanes of travel are open, however that is subject to change as the situation evolves.
Sunday's forecast calls for strong winds in the range of 15-25 mph. The fire has grown to nearly 600 acres as of Sunday morning. This situation will continue to be monitored.
