BILLINGS - The Yellowstone County Coroner's Office on Monday released the name of a motorcyclist killed on Interstate 90.
Robert W. Charette, 54 of Billings, died Sunday at about 5 p.m. after losing control of a motorcycle while driving westbound on the City Center loop near the King Avenue and Interstate 90 exit.
Charette was trying to enter eastbound I-90 traffic while negotiating the sharp curve of the on-ramp exiting Laurel Road and lost control, according to Billings police.
The motorcycle went into oncoming westbound traffic that was exiting I-90 at the King Avenue West exit. Charette had already lost control of the motorcycle when it was hit by an eastbound vehicle on the eastbound exit ramp.
