BILLINGS - Two people were killed following two separate fatal crashes in Yellowstone County that happened less than an hour apart.
The first crash happened on Interstate 94 near Lockwood just before 9 p.m. on Monday.
A white Dodge pickup truck in the left lane was passing a black Chevrolet pickup truck in the right lane when the driver of the Dodge moved over too soon and clipped the other truck.
The Dodge rolled several times and the 48-year-old male driver was ejected and died at the scene. He was not wearing a seat belt.
The driver of the Chevrolet was not injured.
The second crash is being investigated as a hit-and-run.
The crash happened about 50 minutes later on 72nd Street West and Laurel Airport Road when two people on a motorcycle were rear-ended by a sedan. One of the motorcyclists died at the scene.
According to the Montana Highway Patrol, the sedan fled the scene and the driver has yet to be identified.
A description of the sedan was not released. No information about the condition of the second motorcyclist was released.
