BILLINGS - Billings police arrested a man after in a standoff/negotiation Tuesday evening in a second-floor apartment at the Western View Apartments on Phyllis Lane behind Rimrock Mall.
The man was hanging out of the second floor window yelling, cursing, and pleading for the officers to shoot him. The individual appeared to be intoxicated.
Just after 6 p.m., he came out of the building with his hands up and surrendered without incident. The standoff appeared to last less than an hour.
Police said the man was barricaded inside with several guns. He was arrested on suspicion of assault with a weapon and partner/ family member assault.
19-59025. 2607 Phyllis Lane #46. Negotiators were able to talk a suspect out of an apartment he was barricaded in with several guns. Susp was arrested for assault w/ a weapon and PFMA. -Lt Krivitz
